The game’s governing body in the United Kingdom is the Hurlingham Polo Association, which drew up the first set of formal British rules in 1874, many of which are still in existence today. This version of Polo played in the 19th century was different from the faster form that was played in Manipur, India and established there in 1833.
Many generations of the British Royal Family were passionate about the sport, and still play to this day.
Prestigious tournaments are held in the UK such as – The Cartier Cup, The Queen’s Cup, the Open Championship of England (Golden Cup), Thje Prince of Wales Trophy (Royal County of Berkshire), The Warwick Cup (Cirencester Polo Club), and finally the Royal Salute Coronation Cup.
We look after many private individuals, families, hotel guests and corporate groups attending the Polo season providing them with our MACH Makeup & Hair Artists together with our MACH Beauty & Holistic therapy team.
Ascot, Berkshire, home to Royal Ascot, first opened it’s doors in 1711 by Queen Anne, with the first race being “Her Majesty’s Plate”.
The Royal Meeting held each June, remains a major draw, its highlight being ‘The Gold Cup’. The most prestigious race is the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes run over the course in July.
Cheltenham Festival, the prestigious meeting held in March, features several Grade I races including the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle,Queen Mother Champion Chase, Ryanair Chase and the Stayers’ Hurdle.

REGATTA’S & MOTOR RACING
Our beautiful clients spend elegant days and evenings on their boats and along the river bank enjoying their celebrations, Makeup & Hair picture perfect.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed was founded in 1993 by Lord March in order to bring motor racing back to the Goodwood estate — a location steeped in British motor racing history. An annual hill climb featuring historic motor racing vehicles held in the grounds of Goodwood House, West Sussex,England in late June or early July; the event is scheduled to avoid clashing with the Formula One season, enabling fans to see F1 machines as well as cars and motorbikes from motor racing history climb the hill.

GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL & BBC PROMS SEASON
Regarded as a major event in British culture, Glastonbury Festival is inspired by the ethos of the hippie, counterculture, and free festival movements. Glastonbury is the largest greenfield festival in the world, and is now attended by around 200,000 people. We have provided our MACH artists to some of the leading names in Music for their appearances and performances over the last 15 years.
The Proms is an eight-week summer season of daily orchestral classical music concerts and other events held annually, predominantly in the Royal Albert Hall in central London. The Proms were founded in 1895, and are now organised and broadcast by the BBC. Each season consists of concerts in the Royal Albert Hall, chamber music concerts at Cadogan Hall, additional Proms in the Park events across the UK on the Last Night of the Proms, and associated educational and children’s events.
This is such a magical season to be involved with, both for Performers on the stage as well as private clients attending the concerts.
